Catalog description

Rehabilitation Medicine goals include improving functional abilities, enhancing quality of life, and promoting independence for patients with physical impairments or disabilities, either short- or long- term. This rotation provides an overview of the fundamentals of PM&R, including history taking, examination, diagnosis, and management of common pathologies within PM&R. We will also focus on the physician’s vital role in managing pain, whether acute, chronic, or related to specific conditions. Effective pain management requires a comprehensive approach that includes assessment, treatment, and ongoing monitoring.
