Vascular Interventional Radiology Advanced

Catalog description

The advanced elective in vascular and interventional radiology is designed to give students who are interested in diagnostic or interventional radiology an intense introduction to one of the most dynamic, innovative, and exciting fields in medicine. The student doing the advanced elective will be exposed to the full spectrum of procedures performed in a busy academic IR practice. He or she will be fully integrated into the IR team and will work closely with attending physicians, IR fellows, and radiology residents. The student will evaluate patients, assist in procedures, and participate in our division’s conferences.
