Orthodontics Interdisciplinary Conferences III B
New York University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
Part 3 B: This course is a collaboration with the Departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Pediatric Dentistry. "Seminars in Orthognathic Surgery" combines lectures with case presentations. Third-year residents present completed cases using a standard template to evaluate treatment plans and outcomes. Treatment results are assessed by comparing initial, progress, and final records, including cephalometric superimpositions. Students enhance their clinical expertise through interactive discussions with faculty and peers. In the "Pedo-Ortho Conference," orthodontic and pediatric residents collaborate in rotating case presentations to assess the timing and necessity of orthodontic intervention, followed by discussions of treatment strategies.
