Catalog description

Part 1 A: This course is a collaboration with the Departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Pediatric Dentistry. "Seminars in Orthognathic Surgery" combines lectures with case presentations. First-year residents use a standardized template to present starting cases with comprehensive diagnostic records. Each presentation emphasizes identifying etiological factors, analyzing skeletal and dental relationships, and developing evidence-based treatment plans. In the "Pedo-Ortho Conference," orthodontic and pediatric residents collaborate in rotating case presentations to assess the timing and necessity of orthodontic intervention, followed by discussions of treatment strategies.
