Catalog description

This first intermediate-level course reviews grammar, language structure, and culture, concentrating on fluency and accuracy through listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities. This course expands on grammar topics by introducing more advanced concepts like the subjunctive, the personal infinitive, and compound tenses. Short fiction, the news and the arts are also utilized to foster spontaneous communication and knowledge of the culture of the Portuguese-speaking world. A continuation of PORT-UA 2 and PORT-UA 11 .
