Catalog description
Explores causes and consequences of gender inequality and will draw on evidence from industrialized as well as developing nations around the world. Considers such questions as: What is gender and how do social scientists study it? How do such inequalities shape societies? How can gender inequalities be addressed? Students will engage critically with theoretical arguments about gender and will draw on various kinds of research designs and empirical evidence to adjudicate between them.
