Social Data Science Workshop

Catalog description

The workshop on Social Data Science will bring together students, faculty, and external speakers to explore how data science methods can be creatively and effectively applied to social science questions. By engaging with presenters' work, participants will be exposed to leading research, strengthen their methods knowledge, and meet scholars from outside of their departments and NYU. In addition, the workshop will provide a platform for participants to present their own research and receive valuable feedback on their progress. This course is required of all students enrolled in the Advanced Certificate in Social Data Science and is open to graduate students from across the social sciences and data science.
