This course explores the physical principles and operational mechanisms underlying quantum devices used in computing, communication, and sensing. Topics include superconducting qubits, trapped ions, spin qubits, nitrogen-vacancy centers, photonic systems, and quantum dots. Students examine device architectures, coherence and decoherence mechanisms, fabrication considerations, and control techniques. Emphasis is placed on linking device physics to practical implementation in quantum technologies. | Prerequisites: PH-GY 6623
