Anatomic and Clinical Pathology

Catalog description

This elective will provide direct exposure to surgical, cytopathology and autopsy pathology. Students will learn how specimens are handled, sectioned, processed and how glass slides are produced. They will attend conferences with the pathology residents and interact directly with attending pathologists. Students will learn how pathology is central to the proper diagnosis and treatment of the patient. They will review specimens and glass slides with both resident and attending pathologists.
