The Politics of Education

This course examines the politics of education in the United States from Pre-K through higher education with a particular focus on understanding the role of key actors and institutions at the national, state, and local level. The course will explore ideas of democracy and education, race and education, governance structures, and contemporary debates shaping American education policy.
