Catalog description

In this study away course students explore how education and traditional health beliefs and practices impact current health care, access and public transportation, and social welfare for individuals with disabilities in the destination country. Students explore and identify factors, which may influence a community’s view of disability. The course utilizes the reflective teaching model and experiential learning to enrich students’ understandings of the context.
