Catalog description

This elective provides the opportunity for advanced, evidence-based training in Complex Family Planning, including contraception, abortion care (first and second trimester medical and surgical abortions), and pregnancy options counseling. Students will develop competencies in patient-centered counseling, clinical decision-making for medically and socially complex cases, and understanding the ethical, legal, and social determinants of reproductive health. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on clinical experience, advocacy, and health equity, preparing future physicians to deliver comprehensive reproductive health care in accordance with national standards and best practices.
