Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility

Catalog description

During the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility rotation, the student is expected to be ready to learn the fundamentals of fertility treatment and evaluation for the female patient. The student will shadow the physician during the morning ultrasound monitoring, observe procedures such as intrauterine insemination, endometrial biopsies, saline sonohisterograms, oocyte retrievals and embryo transfer. The student will be present during history-taking with new and existing patients and are expected to gain expertise on a variety of clinical conditions.
