This course provides an overview of bariatric and metabolic surgeries for the treatment of obesity. Students learn how to evaluate and assess surgical patients and develop nutrition care plans for patients pre- and post- weight loss surgery, understanding the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist's critical role within the healthcare team.
