Catalog description

This course introduces the students to major theoretical perspectives and learning theories that shaped the foundation of the art and science of teaching nursing. The students will critically examine the cultural models that serve as framework in assessment and development of cultural humility. The students will reflect on the knowledge they gained from this course to formulate a beginning philosophy of teaching-learning in nursing. They will explore the issue of inclusion, diversity, and equity in nursing education in the USA and globally.
