Neurocritical Care

Catalog description

On the elective you will learn about the acute management of a multitude of neurologic emergencies, including traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral hemorrhage, status epilepticus, neuromuscular diseases, and more. You will learn about the interplay between neurologic diseases and other organ systems, and the hemodynamic and airway management of neurologically decompensating patients. You will see patients both in the neuroscience ICU as well as in the other ICUs.
