Berlin, as a leading FinTech hub in Europe, provides a dynamic environment for understanding core financial functions by focusing on how startups, incubators, and venture capital are shaping the future of financial services. The course will connect global FinTech trends with the local German market, examining the influence of startups and addressing regulatory and privacy challenges on innovation. We'll also explore the growing role of AI in finance, with insights from guest speakers working at the forefront of the industry. Students will attend a fintech conference, participate in conversation formats to gain cutting-edge insights, and take an overnight trip to Frankfurt am Main to visit institutions at the heart of European finance.
