This one-credit intensive practice elective explores the role of music-based interventions as a youth-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally relevant approach to supporting mental health among young people. Drawing on multidisciplinary perspectives – social work, neuroscience, music therapy, and psychology – the course equips students with foundational knowledge and practical skills for integrating music-based strategies into clinical and community practice with youth and young adults.
