Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce students to qualitative research in and on social work practice. The course includes qualitative approaches of ethnography, grounded theory, case study and narrative approaches. Students will gain knowledge and skills related to in-depth interviews, focus groups and ethnographic observation along with data analysis techniques to produce rigorous high-impact research. **This course has no pre-requisites but can be taken by students who waive out of Research I as a way to complete their research credit requirements.**
