Advanced Social Policy: Human Trafficking

Catalog description

This course explores human trafficking in the United States with some international context. Course content will predominantly focus on sex trafficking with some information about labor trafficking. It builds upon the theoretical frameworks covered in Social Welfare Programs & Policies I to understand the development and practice of human trafficking policy. Special attention will be paid to how human trafficking and public policy affect diverse people groups, including children, Black, Indigenous, and people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community.
