Introduction to Song Analysis

Catalog description

This course introduces and implements song analysis concepts in establishing a process of learning and embodying song material. This practice facilitates upper level course work and career success by providing students with a unique and evolving practice based on research, knowledge of self, focused and objective based performance, critical/empathetic listening and reflective study. In-class performance, discussion and assessment are key factors in this class.
