Student Teaching in Secondary Schools

Catalog description

Weekly cohort meetings to support student teacher as a reflective practitioner. Students participate in concurrent supervised student teaching fieldwork in secondary school settings. Course serves to prepare student teacher for initial certification with completion of New York state licensure requirements for PK-12 music teaching, all grades. Assignments include relevant readings, discussions, standards-based lesson plan development and peer review.
