Catalog description

This course provides an overview of the major classical and contemporary theories of psychotherapy, integrating counseling traditions and drama therapy. Students will learn to apply their theoretical knowledge in order to develop integrative culturally-informed conceptualizations and to plan interventions for patients across the life span. Experiential exercises will enrich course content and allow students to expand and implement their knowledge of conceptualization, treatment planning, psychotherapy intervention, interprofessional collaboration, and advocacy.
