Catalog description

This course examines the key managerial features of technology-enabled innovation and new product development. It focuses on accessing innovative capabilities through R&D, acquisition, alliances, joint ventures and innovation-friendly cultures and organizations. The key perspective underlying this course is managerial. Although the innovation activities studied are overwhelmingly technology-enabled ones, success is largely determined by managerial factors. The interplay between the technology and management leading to innovation is a major concern of the discussion and work in this course. | Prerequisites: MG-UY 2014 and MG-UY 3002
