Catalog description

Course description The purpose of this course is to enhance the research experience of the MAE PhD students by attending the MAE Seminar and other formal MAE research presentations in the department. Course Rules - PhD students need to validate at least 5 times ME-GY 9990 (seminar 0 credit course) throughout their PhD studies. Students can take the course starting in their first year. - To validate ME-GY 9990 , PhD students are required to attend at least 80% of MAE seminars every semester (with a maximum of 8 seminars if there are more seminars organized) - Students who have difficulty attending the seminar because of work (e.g. part-time) or research obligations may be exempted from this requirement upon approval of the Program Director. Students should submit the approval note when applying for graduation. All PhD candidate, following the successful passage of the PhD Qualifying Examination will register for ME-GY 9990 , every semester they are registered in the program.
