Catalog description
Beginning Japanese 3 is a 2-credit, 7-week course for students who completed Beginning Japanese 2 or an equivalent course with Hiragana and Katakana reading and writing competence. This course aims to establish smooth communication with native Japanese speakers with cultural and linguistic appropriateness. The students are expected to learn the target structures and vocabulary by acting out everyday real-world interactions in Japanese in the classroom. The course does not fulfill the prerequisites for Japanese II ( EAST-UA 248 ) offered at NYU. It covers the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) level A1.1.
