Catalog description

The Master’s Program recognizes the value of supplementing the classroom learning experience with exposure to real political structures and processes by encouraging students to acquire field experience in political situations. Internships are carefully monitored work or service experiences in which students pursue clearly identified educational goals and reflect actively on what they are learning. The purpose is to promote critical thinking, skill development, and personal and professional growth. Approximately 10 hours of work each week is expected for a minimum of 120 hours over the course of the semester. An evaluation form is sent to your supervisor at the end of the semester to gauge your performance in the workplace.
