Catalog description

Informed by readings, historical examples, and artworks, students will learn to develop simulations using the Unity game engine. Unity provides a foundation for rapidly prototyping interactive environments filled with simulated objects and creatures. We will use C# scripting with Unity to supply these agents and environments with behaviors, states, sensing, affect, and more using a variety of algorithms and design patterns. Preequisite: INTM-SHU 101 Interaction lab or INTM-SHU 103 Creative Coding Lab, or equivalent course taken in another NYU site Fulfillment: IMA major elective/ IMB major elective.
