Catalog description

Can art bridge divides and build peace? This course examines the role of the arts in advancing peacebuilding, diplomacy, and cross-cultural understanding. Blending theory and practice, it explores how the arts have been mobilized globally as tools of peace, education, and soft power. Through case studies and hands-on engagement with diverse art forms, students investigate how creative practice deepens awareness of self, others, and the world’s divides, and imagine how the arts can open new pathways toward connection and change.
