Catalog description

The course introduces students to the principles of interaction design (IxD) and user experience (UX) for creating effective, user-friendly digital experiences. Students learn by working on realistic design challenges, applying a user-centered design process that focuses on understanding user behaviours, needs and motivation before developing solutions. Through hands-on activities and projects, students explore how people interact with digital products and how design choices influence usability, engagement and satisfaction. The course covers key user experience methods including user research, personas, journey mapping, information architecture, interaction flows and interface behaviours, wireframing, prototyping and usability testing. By the end of the course, students will be able to design, test and improve digital experience while clearly communicating their design decisions using evidence and user feedback.
