Active introduction to Yiddish as a spoken and written language in its historical and contemporary forms. Presents the essentials of Yiddish grammar through a communicative approach with devoted attention to global Yiddish culture in all its forms (song, food, literature, theater, newspapers etc.). We will use the Yiddish Book Center's new textbook In Eynem.
