In cybersecurity, the only guarantee is that bad things can, will and do happen, no matter how strong the preventative measures. When an organization cannot stop bad things from happening, it must develop resilience against threat actors and the myriad types of incident that can cause harm to organisations, businesses, governments, and individuals. No professional in any industry sector can avoid cybersecurity and cyber professionals, in particular, must understand and go about building resilience. This course aims to do just that. It provides students with the key concepts and approaches to understand how resilience applies in cybersecurity, the key measures to go about building it, as well as analyzing the advanced measures that market-leading organizations innovate to stay ahead of cyber threat actors. This course aligns with the Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner work role in the National Cyber Workforce Framework (NCWF).
