Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI for Public Health Management and Consulting

Catalog description
This course equips students with practical skills to explain and compare core Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Generative AI (GenAI), specifically focusing on public health (PH) management, consulting, and healthcare operations. Students will learn to conduct data- enabled exploration and validation; evaluate uses of AI in PH for privacy, compliance, and ethics; and communicate findings in consulting- and management-style deliverables. The course trains students both in the use of AI in managerial and consulting roles and to evaluate AI-driven operational improvements in PH. Students will practice translating technical results into operational and policy recommendations across four themes: Population Health Improvement, Resource and Risk Optimization, Decision-Making and Stakeholder Collaboration, and Human-Centered Innovation.
