This seminar offers an in-depth exploration of a pressing, current topic in global affairs. Students will engage critically with a breaking international issue related to global governance, conflict and security, human rights, migration, climate change, AI, or economic development. It emphasizes critical analysis, policy evaluation, and policy recommendations, preparing students to navigate and respond to complex global dynamics. Readings, case studies, and class discussions will draw on material from international relations, international law, and economics. Topics vary by semester to reflect emerging issues, trends and debates.
