Catalog description

This course provides a detailed introduction to the entrepreneurial finance sector in Europe. Through an integrated academic and practitioner approach, students will explore the creation, financing, growth, and long-term success/failure of European entrepreneurial firms, as well as frameworks for evaluating high-risk opportunities and structuring investment transactions. Case studies drawn from local Florence/Italy as well as other European locations will expose the students to real-world examples in a comparative perspective. A wealth of site visits, guest lectures, and other hands-on activities give students abundant opportunities to apply ideas and theories in practice.
