This seminar-style course explores the topic of web privacy in an increasingly connected digital world. Students will gain a deep understanding of online tracking technologies, including cookies, browser fingerprinting, and cross-site tracking mechanisms. The course covers how data is collected, shared, and analyzed for targeted advertising, as well as the privacy risks this poses to individuals. It also provides students with knowledge about technical and legal measures to improve privacy, transparency, and user consent.
