Catalog description

This course introduces students to the practical application of some fundamental concepts covered in Conservation Laws in Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Heat Transport courses. Students will get the chance to perform experiments and analyze gathered data to test theoretical concepts. The following topics will be experimentally covered in this course: conservation of linear momentum, Reynold's apparatus, Bernoulli’s equation, flow through an orifice plate and venturi meter, refrigeration cycle, heat conduction and convection, and heat exchangers.
