Catalog description

This course will provide an overview of instrumentation systems used in clinical medicine and biomedical research. We will review some circuit theory, and its application to bioinstrumentation. Systems for measuring biologic signals will be discussed including biopotentials, electrochemical concentrations, electrical impedance, pressure, and temperature. In addition, electrode interfaces, voltage and current interface circuits will be discussed. The lab component has the design of a biomedical instrument for measuring biopotentials.
