Catalog description

In this class each student will create a simple story, no more than a page long, that is important to them. The class will then use this story to go through the process of creating a short play, a film short and a TV short. The goal of the class will be to learn the different skill sets required for each medium, where they overlap and where they don't. With an emphasis on how to let your individual voice be yours in all three. Action, dialogue and structure function differently in prose, theater, TV and film. At times it's easy to feel like your writing voice is getting lost in all the different genre requirements. This class is constructed to help you be yourself as a writer no matter what you're writing.
