Catalog description
This course trains the student to think rigorously and systematically at a high level of abstraction. It introduces the fundamental mathematical tools that are central to economic analysis. They pertain to the fields of Set Theory, Linear Algebra, Topology, Convex Analysis and Differential Calculus. The objective is to understand in depth, and practice at a high level of sophistication, two main pillars of economic analysis: optimization and comparative statics.
