Catalog description

This course explores the economic development and current structure of emerging economies. The course covers emerging markets globally - including Latin America, Africa and Eastern Europe - but maintains a strong focus on China, India and Southeast Asia. The future of these regions is central to the world economy with their success continuing the process of lifting billions of people out of poverty. Students will explore the opportunities and challenges of operating in these markets. By the end of the course, students will gain the analytical tools and contextual understanding necessary to operate and succeed in these dynamic economies.
