Topics in Korean Studies is a variable-content course examining selected aspects of Korea’s history, literature, culture, media, and society. Some courses might also address the broader Korean diaspora. Courses may address issues such as colonialism, revolution, modernity, popular culture, identity, and contemporary developments. Through interdisciplinary approaches, students gain a deeper understanding of Korea’s historical developments and its place in the world. Specific topics vary by semester.
