Writing Workshop I is an introductory course in academic writing designed to introduce students to post-secondary writing and critical thinking. The primary goals of the course are to develop critical reading and basic writing skills, understand the rhetorical situation (writing what matters), and engage in constructive peer review. The course involves mini-lessons, independent work, peer review sessions, and reflective writing, during which students contemplate their learning and apply the concepts taught throughout the week.
