Chemistry is the study of the nature of substances and their transformations. Chemistry for Allied Health is designed to introduce you to the basic concepts and terminology of general chemistry (chemistry of matter), organic chemistry (chemistry of carbon, mainly), and biochemistry (chemistry of biology), physical chemistry, and to provide a foundation for courses in nutrition, physiology, and dental materials that you use in dental hygiene.s.
