Part 2 B: This course is a collaboration with the Departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Pediatric Dentistry. "Seminars in Orthognathic Surgery" combines lectures with case presentations. Second-year residents present ongoing cases using a standard template. Each presentation evaluates treatment progress and the potential need for plan adjustments. Students improve their diagnostic and problem-solving skills through discussions with faculty and peers. In the "Pedo-Ortho Conference," orthodontic and pediatric residents collaborate in rotating case presentations to assess the timing and necessity of orthodontic intervention, followed by discussions of treatment strategies.
