Catalog description
This course explores the physiological responses and adaptations of the human body to exercise and physical activity. Students will gain an understanding of how key systems—muscular, cardiovascular, respiratory, and metabolic—function during various forms of exercise, from endurance activities to strength training. The course will cover the underlying mechanisms of exercise performance, recovery, and health benefits, as well as the effects of regular physical activity on the body over time. Emphasis will also be placed on practical applications in dance, sports, fitness programming, and the role of exercise in injury prevention and rehabilitation.
