Catalog description

Students will learn through hands-on work producing DAUS' own literary magazine, Dovetail. Students will read, edit, and publish work online. Additionally, students will learn about copyright, contracts, interviewing authors, create public facing features including social media excerpts, imagery and video clips. Technical skills including basic WordPress editing and InDesign formatting will also be acquired. Students interested in careers in publishing, journalism, communications, public relations, or creative writing will find this course valuable for developing industry specific knowledge and skills. Writers of all stripes and visual artists are encouraged to enroll.
