Catalog description

This course allows students from all academic backgrounds to expand their knowledge of the histories, influences and experiments of queer cinema. This collaborative course blends film screenings, discussions and theoretical exploration with artistic practice. Students will gain critical knowledge of significant works from queer film history and present while being invited to develop and workshop artistic work based on their engagement. Possible outcomes of this class include the production of a short film (3-5min), performance pieces, or written texts. The class will culminate in a final presentations of all the students' original creations.
