Catalog description
This course constitutes an introduction to general aspects of chemistry for science, engineering and math majors. Topics include the theories of atomic structure, stoichiometry, properties of gases, kinetic molecular theory, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, electronic structure of atoms, periodicity of the elements, chemical bonding, and molecular structure.
