Catalog description

Senior level design course where students apply environmental engineering principles to explore environmental issues through laboratory analytical investigations. The first half of the course will focus on providing the students with hands-on exposure to advanced analytical methods in environmental engineering and associated data analyses. Students will then collaborate in project teams to design and execute an environmental investigative project. Deliverables will include a project proposal (including budget) and technical report of findings. May include field data collection and coordination. Emphasis will be placed on problem definition, experimental design and data analysis. Findings will be articulated through professional project reports and group presentations. | Prerequisites: CE-UY 3223 and CE-UY 3273
